Meet the staff

Michele - Clinical and Administrative Liaison
Michele has 18 years experience as a dental assistant. She began working with Dr. Heaton as a surgical assistant in 2001. Since then her knowledge of periodontal disease and dental implants has flourished and she has become the go to person when there is that trivia like question, and not only for the staff but also the patients! Since her tenure is arriving shortly, Dr. Heaton’s patients have grown not only to love Michele but also respect her advice and opinions. When Michele is not taking care of patients she enjoys her time with her three beautiful children and her husband.
Helen – Surgery and Insurance Coordinator
Helen has 14 years experience in the medical field. She began working with Dr. Heaton in 2004. Dr. Heaton’s patients know Helen by her friendly smile and her happy demeanor which can even be “seen” over the phone, it’s quite incredible! Helen has amazing recall with Dr. Heaton’s patients and looks forward to their visits. She is a master with scheduling as well as fast moving but graceful shark with the insurance companies! When Helen is not taking care of patients she enjoys traveling and reading on her new Kindle. Another favorite past time is gardening in her vegetable garden in the backyard with her husband.
Anne – Periodontal Hygienist
Anne has practiced hygiene for 16 years, most recently in her hometown of Austin. Anne enjoys watching the improvement in the home care and health of her patients. Anne enjoys building personal relationships with each of her patients. When Anne is not caring for her patients she enjoys spending time with her family, travel, cooking classes and the Texas Hill Country. Anne also enjoys the performing arts Houston has to offer including the Houston Ballet, Houston Symphony Orchestra and the Houston Opera.
Rachel - Surgical Assistant
Rachel came to Dr. Heaton’s practice with already 3 years of Oral Surgery experience. She enjoys talking with our patients and is very attentive to their needs, which makes for a very pleasant dental experience. You will find that Rachel will ALWAYS listen to Dr. Heaton’s patients and will seek to ease any fears that they might have about an upcoming procedure. When Rachel is not taking care of patients, she spends her time with her new Fiancé and her 3 year old niece, as well as planning her future wedding!
Teona – Practice Administrator
Teona has 16 years experience in the medical field. She began working with Dr. Heaton in 2004. She was able to take her years of medical and dental management and focus all of her strengthens into helping build a successful periodontal practice. She enjoys her accounting duties very much but also like never before has direct contact with the patients and has built long lasting friendships. When Teona is not taking care of patients she is on the hunt for “healthy” living, Teona currently attends Pilates and trying to learn Yoga. She is passionate about healthy eating, reading or watching videos about organic foods, vitamins and/or just bridging the gap between what we should eat and what we actually do eat.
